The food festival known as “A Taste of Ethnic Boston” has highlighted local restaurants and businesses owned by people of color since 2013. Since the start of the pandemic, this event has been an important date on the calendars of restaurants still struggling to keep their doors open.
The restaurants and culinary businesses will come together to share their wares with attendees on Tues., July 26, at The Grand Boston in the Seaport neighborhood from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Two of the featured restaurants will be Dorchester’s Vietnamese Pho Le and Cape Verdean Cesaria. They were among the founding restaurants of “A Taste of Ethnic Boston.”
Konnected!, an organization focused on helping urban professionals network, is hosting the festival along with Big Night Entertainment, NBC 10, and Boston Beer Company.
A nonprofit is selected each year to receive support from the event. This year some of the proceeds will go to the GK Fund, which helps businesses across Massachusetts owned by people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ people, and veterans.
