Hollywood Hearts Program Coming to the Club
The Club is excited to announce a new partnership with the Hollywood Hearts program which will see our members write, direct, produce and star in their very own short film. The program gives our members who are interested in filmmaking the opportunity to experience all aspects first-hand. Thanks to Hollywood Hearts volunteers, which include professional screenwriters, directors, actors, cinematographers, editors, make-up artists and costume designers our members get to learn all aspects of the industry. The participating members will: brainstorm a script; learn about plot, dialogue and themes; create their own costumes and make-up design; learn how to use camera and sound equipment; design props and scenery; and finally star in their own original film. A casting call has been scheduled for January 26th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. in the McLaughlin Clubhouse. There is no fee to participate and prior acting experience is not necessary. However, the 12 teens selected to participate must be able to commit to a full schedule of production during the February school vacation (2/16 to 2/19 on a 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule).
