After weeks of bubbling below the surface, questions surface about one District 3 candidate’s stance on gay marriage. John O’Toole attempts to answer them (and a question on transgender rights legislation, too). He’s aided by the presence of exiting City Councillor Maureen Feeney, a staunch supporter of gay rights who marched with him in the gay pride parade this past weekend.
Elsewhere, another D3 candidate, Frank Baker, is racking up some endorsements: Longtime state Rep. Martin Walsh and freshman state Rep. Nick Collins, who represents South Boston and a small part of Dorchester, say they’re backing him.
On his website, Baker also lists the IBEW Local 674 and state Sen. Steve Tolman of Brighton.
